Why some spots still smell
Picking up the waste handles most of the problem. But dogs go back to the same few spots again and again, and those spots can hold odor after the piles are gone. Yard deodorizing is for those spots.
- 02
What it is, and what it is not
Yard deodorizing is a spray for the areas your pets use most. It does not pick anything up. If waste is still on the ground, book pet waste removal, which is a separate service, so the yard is cleaned before it is sprayed.
- 03
Clean first, then spray
The spray goes down after the waste is gone. If you also have regular pickup, ask B.P. about adding the spray to those visits for the spots you choose.
- 04
Where it tends to help
Most yards have a few favorite spots: a corner of the back yard, a side yard, the patch of grass by the back door, a dog run. On commercial properties it is usually the shared pet area by the building. Point out the spots and those are the ones that get sprayed.
- 05
Questions about the product
Ask B.P. what he uses and how long pets should stay inside before they go back out. Ask before you book, so you know what goes on the grass where your pets play.

Common questions
Yard Deodorizing questions
Call or text B.P. if you have a question about your yard or property.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Pooper Scooper '09 does not use contracts.
What does yard deodorizing include?
It is a deodorizing spray for the areas your pets use most. Ask about the product and when pets can go back outside when you book.
Can I add yard deodorizing to regular pickup?
Yes. Yard deodorizing pairs with residential or commercial pet waste removal. Mention it when you call or text.
Isn't dog poop good for the grass?
No. It is a common myth. Left in the yard, dog waste can burn and discolor grass, draw flies and other pests, spread bacteria and parasites, and smell worse the longer it sits.
